Spirits from the fields of our farm
Grown, stone-milled, distilled, aged & bottled.
High Drive is a unique VT hillside family farm-based distillery that produces a distinctive line of spirits created from grains grown on our farm and other ingredients sourced from organic growers.
We sold the dairy cows and bought a still.
For over 40 years, the land has been our anchor and connection.
High Drive Distillery was founded by two brothers determined to save their family farm in the hills of Northern Vermont. Guided by their stewardship of the land and lifelong farming skills, Nick and Taylor set out to create truly unique small batch spirits using certified organic grains that they grow themselves. Seeded, cultivated, harvested, stone-milled, distilled, aged and bottled on farm, these spirits embody a true sense of place and time, tended from the soil to your glass.
The original Meyer Family dairy farm, built by Nick and Taylors parents in the 1970s.
From milking parlor to distilling platform.
Certified Organic grains grown right here on our farm including rye, corn, oats, and barley – form the backbone of our distilled spirits. The still now sits where the cows used to be milked. Our offerings include:
High Drive Gin: $36.99 (plus tax and bottle deposit)
High Drive Bourbon: $44.99 (plus tax and bottle deposit)
High Drive Rye: $44.99 (plus tax and bottle deposit)
Spirits can be bought at the farm (by appointment call or email and come for a tour) or at the Vermont 802 Spirit Stores around the state. If they don’t have our spirits ask them to order it!

Gin
46.5% alc. by vol. | 93 proof
High Drive Gin is distilled on farm through a mix of juniper, red clover, dandelion root and seven other botanicals. The harmony of this formula creates a crisp, fresh, floral taste reminiscent of the fields from which it came. All of our botanicals are certified organic and most of the red clover is picked right out of our fields.
One of our botanicals is Vermont's state flower, the red clover. It was chosen in 1895 to represent Vermont's independent nature, hillside farms and rolling fields. Durable, lucky, and believed to ward off evil spells, bees find the sweetness irresistible. We hope you will as well with High Drive Gins.

These heirloom seeds are passed down through generations of family farmers and are naturally open-pollinated. Over the years they evolve to their environment, taking on characteristics of the landscape and representing a true flavor of our fields.
